How we got our name
The story behind our name …
The collective was founded in 2023 by graduates of Falmouth University’s MA Photography programme. Each cohort is traditionally named after an area of sea from the shipping forecast, a nod to Falmouth’s maritime heritage and Mark Power’s well-known photobook. Our group was named Biscay. Before long, we began affectionately calling ourselves ‘the Biscuits’. The nickname stuck, and from that, Biscuit Books was born. It is a name that honours the collective while leaving space for the personal.
